WE READ THESE JULY NEW RELEASES

The biggest twist? Nearly all of these were good!

  • Beg for Me by J.T. Geissinger is the third in the Morally Grey series, but we read it as a standalone. It was refreshing! A corporate executive, Sophia, is struggling with feeling powerless going through a divorce. She meets Carter and their chemistry is electric. And she learns a little bit about being the dominant in her relationships. (released July 1, 2025)

  • Overruled by Lana Ferguson was a surprising story. In a good way. We read her last book and were whelmed so we went into this one with caution. It’s two people who already hook up finding their way to something more permanent. You learn that everyone has a mask for the world and letting it slip can be freedom. (released July 1, 2025)

  • I Could Be Yours by Helena Hunting was our disappointing read from this batch. It wasn’t enjoyable after the first 1/3 of the book. It’s set in the Toronto Terror universe, but these are both adjacent characters so I get why it could be billed as standalone. But it’s not, you need background. And the therapy talk gets heavy handed, to the point of pushy and preachy. (released July 10, 2025)

  • Once Upon a Demon’s Heart by K.M. Moronova drops you in the middle of a bloody war between demons and demi-gods. In order to avoid total annihilation, Alira, the demi-god FMC, offers herself in an arranged marriage to stop the war. She marries the man she’s been fighting, Kalel. This one ends on a cliffhanger so just beware. (released July 31, 2025)

  • Precious Hazard by Neva Altaj picks up Arturo’s story. You don’t need to have read Silent Lies (#8) or any previous titles for this one to hit home. It’s an arranged marriage by Arturo and Tara. Arturo would do anything for his family, Tara is…resistant. They come to an agreement in order to make the marriage happen. It’s a slow burn watching their love take root. (released July 31, 2025)
