The Fox Hunt by Caitlin Breeze is a Must-Read Fantasy
Book Review & Recommendation:
The Fox Hunt by Caitlin Breeze—☆ 4.5
ARC Review - I received an advance reader copy of this book, but this review reflects my honest, unbiased opinion. Receiving an ARC did not influence my rating or review in any way.
WOW. The Fox Hunt by Caitlin Breeze is positively fantastic.
The story is a lovely amalgamation of Gilmore Girls and Alice Through the Looking Glass. And, if you listen to the audio, the narrator perfectly captures the unspoken rules and elite exclusivity of British aristocratic privilege.
As a Gilmore Girls fanatic, I was drawn in by the simmering comparisons of Emma and Jasper to Rory and Logan. The class differences, the ‘you’re not like other girls’ empty promises, the family-comes-first hard lines of loyalty.
You’ll see Jasper’s true colors seep through (he had me fooled) when he says, “for once, he’ll have to admit I didn’t mess up.” He’s so focused on impressing his dad, finally living up to his expectations, that the protestations about not wanting this life of privilege and wealth fall flat.
BUT IT’S ALL A RED HERRING.
The beauty of The Fox Hunt begins with Emma’s desperate escape from the Turnbull Society and its depraved rituals.
What she finds is a world that brings her unexpected contentment, unleashed by her formidable spirit and unwavering duty to do what’s right. Fueled by a healthy dose of revenge.

Review: The best ARC I've read. This book is a cross between Gilmore Girls and Alice Through the Looking Glass. You're not going to be able to predict how this story unfolds. She's a dedicated scientist seeking funding for a project. He's the heir to a storied and elite society. They're unlikely companions. You can feel their chemistry, but somehow when they collide, they set in motion a series of events that unravel the work of centuries. It's wow. Read it.
